For generations, the one sure thing we could rely upon was real estate. If you worked hard and saved up, you could buy a home and start building wealth. Boom or bust, real estate always went up. But with two ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ recessions, a global pandemic, record inflation, and private equity firms buying up all the supply, the dream of home ownership and access to the world’s largest asset class, has almost become a myth for many of us.

When an entire generation has been left out in the cold, it’s time to light a fire.

Individually, the system is stacked against us. The private equity firms have an army of lawyers and are backed by ‘accredited investors.’ We have each other. So we put our heads together and created Bonfire to use blockchain to democratize real estate investing. We believe that anyone should be able to buy a fraction of a real property for as little as $100, all managed via a Decentralized Autonomous Organization.

We are a group of technologists, entrepreneurs, hacktivists, and idealists who believe that while such a system is unlikely to be transformed by any particular individual - there is strength in numbers and together we can purchase assets and attain generational wealth that is heretofore not accessible.
